Explore the meeting point of fiber and metal in this hands-on workshop, where you’ll learn to construct sculptural squares using wire manipulation, hand-sewing, fabric, and yarn. You’ll leave with techniques for combining these materials into cohesive, textural pieces — plus a finished square (or two) of your own.
Staci Swider is a mixed-media artist and sculptor based in Aiken, South Carolina, working in cloth, wire, found objects, and paint to create ceremonial vessels, sculptural headdresses, and layered paintings rooted in mythology and the natural world. With over twenty-five years of exhibiting experience across the Southeast, she is a Signature Member of the National Association of Women Artists (NAWA) and a Certified GOLDEN Artist Educator. Swider is also the author of Acrylic Expressions (North Light Books/Random House).
Please note: Your payment secures your place in the workshop and is therefore non-refundable. A minimum number of participants is required for workshops to go ahead. If this number is not met, the workshop will be cancelled, and a full refund will be issued.
