Blue Whispers IV

Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, is an ancient and richly tactile art form that originated in Ancient Greece over two thousand years ago. This technique involves fusing molten layers of clear or pigmented beeswax onto a rigid and absorbent surface. Each layer is carefully applied and then fused to bond it with the one beneath, creating a luminous, durable finish.

This painting explores the expressive potential of the human form through the depth, texture, and translucency unique to this medium. The process allows for both spontaneity and control—sculpting with wax, embedding materials, and carving into the surface—all of which contribute to the emotional resonance.
