Workshop Description: This workshop focuses on sharpening participants' approach to the key elements of tone and colour in their work, leading to a more confident and coherent skill-set in these crucial areas. Suitable for both beginners and more experienced practitioners.

Materials: Some oil, acrylic, gouache, pastel, a panel and brushes are provided (Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own materials if possible)

About the Artist:
Brendan Campbell was born in Belfast and studied at the art college there under well-known painter Neil Shawcross, before going on to complete his degree in Fine Art Painting and Printmaking at Manchester Art College. He completed post-graduate studies in Arts Administration at University College Dublin.
He has exhibited in many group exhibitions in Ireland and the UK including the Royal Hibernian Academy Annual Show, and has had solo exhibitions at Airfield House, Dublin and as part of Listowel Writers Week. He has always been strongly involved in education. This has included giving print and painting workshops in Dublin and Kerry.
His work, which often features urban themes is strongly influenced by the classical tradition in art, particularly French Realism. He frequently works in gouache, a type of opaque watercolour.
He lives and works in Kilkenny City.
